Payments & systems integration
Your store connected to ERPs, 3PLs, accounting and payment providers - so inventory agrees with itself, orders flow without re-keying, and payouts reconcile to the cent.
- 20+ years of ecommerce plumbing
- Official connectors first, custom where needed
- Reconciliation to the cent is the test
- Parallel run before cut-over
nightly sync - 02:00
inventory ......... erp → shopify (1,204 skus)
orders ............ shopify → xero (38 invoices)
payouts ........... stripe reconciled to the cent
tracking .......... 3pl → customers (31 emails)
exceptions: 1 - flagged for review
Sound familiar?
When systems stop talking, people start typing
Stock levels lie
The store says twelve, the warehouse says three, and the customer finds out the truth after paying. Two systems with two opinions is one system too many.
Payout reconciliation eats an afternoon
The gateway deposits one number; the orders add to another. Fees, refunds and timing differences get untangled by hand, every settlement.
Orders get re-keyed into accounting
Every order typed into the ledger by hand is minutes lost and a typo waiting for BAS time.
The vendor’s integration quote made you sit down
ERP vendors and big integrators quote integration like it’s 2015. It’s connective plumbing, not a transformation program - and it should be priced like plumbing.
The work
What's included
Mapped first, built on official connectors where they exist, custom where they don’t - and proven by a parallel run where the numbers have to match before anything cuts over.
- Audit
Integration audit
What talks to what today, where the re-keying happens, and where the data disagrees. The map comes with the fixed quote.
- Build
Connectors, built or configured
Official integrations first - they’re maintained by someone else, which is a feature. Custom API work and platforms like Boomi where your systems demand it.
- Pay
Payments done right
Gateways configured, payouts mapped to invoices, fees accounted for - so settlement day reconciles itself instead of consuming an afternoon.
- Sync
Inventory & orders, one truth
A single source of truth agreed and enforced - stock, orders, customers and tracking flowing on schedule, in the right direction.
- Except
Exception handling
Mismatches, failed syncs and odd records land in a review queue with context - flagged loudly, never buried in a log nobody reads.
- Docs
Documentation & support
Field mappings, schedules and what-to-do-when-it-alerts, written down. Plus monitoring and a human on support afterwards.
Why us
Twenty years of ecommerce plumbing
Integration has been the quiet half of our work since before it had a name - Magento to ERP, Shopify to Xero, warehouses, gateways, Boomi pipelines and every combination in between. Your ERP is not going to surprise us.
Our acceptance test hasn’t changed in two decades: the numbers match. Inventory agrees with the warehouse, and the payout reconciles to the cent. Everything else is detail.
-
We’ve met your ERP before
NetSuite, MYOB, Xero, SAP Business One, Cin7 and the long tail of job and warehouse systems - including the ones with "export to CSV" as their API.
-
Built to be monitored, not trusted
Every sync reports its run, its counts and its exceptions. An integration you have to take on faith is a liability with good manners.
-
Boring beats clever
Official connectors over custom code, scheduled syncs over exotic real-time where real-time isn’t needed. The best integration is the one nobody thinks about.
How it runs
Map, build, prove, cut over
- 1
Audit
Your systems, data flows and pain points mapped. The fixed quote comes from this.
- 2
Field mapping
What syncs, which direction, on what schedule, and which system owns the truth - agreed in writing.
- 3
Build & test
Connectors configured or built, then tested against your real data - including the ugly records.
- 4
Parallel run
The integration runs alongside the manual process until the numbers match, day after day.
- 5
Cut over & monitor
The re-keying stops, the monitoring stays, and settlement day gets its afternoon back.
Fair questions
Before you ask
Which platforms and systems do you integrate?
On the store side: Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and BigCommerce. On the other end: Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Cin7/DEAR, most 3PLs and shipping platforms (Shippit, Starshipit, AusPost), and the payment providers - Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay. Plus Boomi for enterprise pipelines. If it’s not on the list, ask; it probably has an API or an export we can work with.
Our back-office system is ancient. Can you still integrate it?
Almost certainly. If it has an API, we use it; if it only has file exports, we build around scheduled imports; if it only prints reports, we’ve parsed worse. Legacy systems are a reason to integrate - they’re where the re-keying is happening.
One-way or two-way sync?
Whichever the data deserves - and this is where integrations go wrong. Two-way sync sounds ideal but creates fights over which system is right. We agree a single source of truth per data type (stock, orders, customers) and sync in the direction that enforces it. It’s less exciting and far more reliable.
What happens when Shopify or the ERP updates their API?
Official connectors absorb most platform changes - that’s a big reason we prefer them. For custom connections we build on versioned APIs, and monitoring catches anything that drifts. With support in place, API deprecations become our calendar reminder, not your outage.
How long does an integration take?
A standard store-to-accounting connection lands in days. Store-to-ERP with inventory, orders and a 3PL is typically a few weeks including the parallel run. The audit gives you a real timeline per connection, not a guess.
What does it cost?
Fixed price per integration, quoted from the audit. Connections using official connectors sit at the small end; custom API work and multi-system pipelines cost more. The quote includes the parallel run and the documentation - proving it works is part of the job, not an extra.
Connect them
Which systems aren’t talking?
Tell us your store platform, the systems it should talk to, and what’s manual today. The audit turns that into a fixed quote per connection.
